Street art
Wherever you look around you will find street art on almost every street in downtown SF. Most murals can be found in the Mission District . Stroll through this district and admire the colorful works of art on the buildings.
A special tram ride
When you think of San Francisco, you automatically think of the historic cable cars. This is a real must do during your visit to this city. We took the tram on the Powell-Hyde line. Check the timetable in advance and plan your trip.
Pier 39 & Fisherman's Wharf
The final stop of the Powell-Hyde streetcar line is near Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. Here you can spot large groups of sea lions sunbathing on the jetties. Also walk past the many souvenir shops and stalls with fresh fish.

The Painted Ladies are without a doubt the most famous Victorian houses in the world! These beautiful houses are located on Steiner Street and are definitely worth admiring the details in real life and of course taking a great photo for the gram.
Lombard Street
Car sick? Then Lombard Street is the place for you... Here you can admire eight hairpin bends without getting nauseous. A special experience and a unique piece of architecture. Of course you can also take the car and venture around the bends.
Golden Gate Bridge
One of the most famous and impressive bridges in the world can be found in San Francisco: the Golden Gate Bridge. Take a walk across this iconic bridge and enjoy the beautiful views over the bay. Also look for one of the viewpoints to have a nice view of the bridge.
Alcatraz
Take the boat to Alcatraz and immerse yourself in the history of this maximum security prison. From 1934 to 1963, America's most serious criminals were locked up here.
