Accessibility

If you choose to go to Hvar by car, you can use the ferry services available from Split . Split is well connected to mainland Croatia and there are several ferry companies offering regular crossings to Hvar. You can also choose to leave your car in Split and take the pedestrian ferry. This option is attractive if you choose a day trip.

Explore Hvar Town

The lively town of Hvar Town is the heart of the island, offering a lively atmosphere and charming streets to wander through. If you take the pedestrian ferry, this is where you dock. Visit the cozy central square, St. Stephen's Square, where you can admire St. Stephen's Cathedral. Take a walk along the promenade and enjoy the beautiful yachts moored in the harbour.

Visit the Fortica Fortress
One of the highlights of Hvar Town is the Fortica Fortress , also known as the Spanish Fortress. The fortress dates back to the 16th century and offers breathtaking views of the city, harbor and surrounding islands. It's a short but steep hike to the top, but the reward is well worth the hike.o

Enjoy the beaches

Hvar is known for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters. One of the most popular beaches is Dubovica Beach , which is about 8 kilometers away from Hvar Town. Surrounded by green hills, this pebble beach offers an idyllic setting for swimming and sunbathing. Other beaches worth visiting are Pokonji Dol beach and Stipanska beach. What less time? Explore Stari Grad
