Enjoy allergen-free food in Bali!

Bali is a wonderful island with a relaxed atmosphere. It is touristy, but that is not without reason and there are certainly plenty of quiet and beautiful places to be found. Furthermore, the people are incredibly friendly, the food is delicious and the nature is beautiful. Definitely worth it! We traveled around the island in three weeks and went to Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, Uluwatu and Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan. A big advantage is that there are many trendy restaurants where you can eat well with allergies or intolerances. Below you will find tips for enjoying allergen-free holidays in Bali.

Coffee Cartel in Seminyak

Coffee Cartel is a hip café in the center of Seminyak where they serve good coffee, but the food is also very tasty. The menu shows which dishes are vegan and gluten-free and indicates what can be made gluten-free or vegan. A very nice place for breakfast or lunch!

Jungle Fish in Ubud

A 'no beach beach club' in the middle of the jungle. You can eat well here and then relax by the pool. Jungle Fish has multiple floors and restaurants: Jungle Fish Pool Bar, The Upper Deck and Jungle Fish Restaurant. At the Pool Bar the menu indicates what is vegetarian or vegan and what contains nuts. They also have plenty of gluten-free dishes on the menu. This also applies to The Upper Deck. You can have a delicious breakfast at Jungle Fish Restaurant. The menu indicates what is vegetarian and gluten-free and what contains nuts. So you can safely eat here if you have a food allergy or intolerance and the food is also very tasty. They even have gluten-free pasta as an option!

The Loft in Canggu and Uluwatu

The mission of The Loft   is to make you feel at home and that works well! There is a nice atmosphere and the food is good. The menu indicates which dishes are gluten-free and vegan. They have a lot of gluten-free options, such as waffles, a quinoa bowl or grilled salmon. So something for everyone!

La Brisa in Canggu

When you walk into La Brisa , you will be amazed. Swimming pools, several huts with sunbeds and ropes and lights hanging everywhere between the palm trees. It's the perfect place to chill out for an afternoon and the food is delicious too. The menu indicates what is vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free for breakfast. There are also many options. They even have vegan and gluten-free ice cream. Highly recommended!

The Deck on Nusa Lembongan

Half an hour by boat from Sanur, you will find Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. The islands are connected by a yellow bridge and are a good option if, for example, you find the Gili islands too far away. The Deck is located near the harbor where you moor and is a small restaurant where you can sit at the bar with a beautiful view of the sea. They have a menu indicating what is vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. They even have gluten-free bread as an option!

Sundays Beach Club

After you descend with an elevator, you arrive at Sunday Beach Club on, for us, the most beautiful beach in Bali. Take a seat on a beanbag, order a fresh coconut and enjoy the view. The menu also states which dishes are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free and which contain nuts. So you can safely eat here if you have food allergies or intolerances.
